Subsquid and Pinknode are delighted to announce a new strategic partnership aimed at improving the API development experience for Web3 builders. An upcoming release of Subsquid’s web application — the Aquarium — will offer users the option to use Pinknode infrastructure for accelerated syncing with a wide range of Substrate chains.

Fast syncing is important for developers for two key reasons: First, it decreases the time between building a feature in the endpoint and deploying it to production on the client-side, and second, it lowers the delay between an on-chain event and its reflection in the API. The Subsquid team has long intended to allow users that need direct and swift access to blockchain nodes to select infrastructure providers and buy bandwidth right from within the Aquarium. Pinknode, which specialises in running nodes on Substrate chains, provides an ideal solution to this Subsquid project requirement.

In order to celebrate our new partnership, the Pinknode team has graciously agreed to provide all Subsquid users free access to their upgraded plan, increasing the number and rate of requests. Currently, this promotion is as follows:

  • 500K to 1M request per team
  • 15 requests per second > 50 requests per second

Subsquid CEO Dmitry Zhelezov stressed the importance of the project for the development of the project: “Subsquid’s mission is to make on-chain data easily accessible for developers. Having a reliable node infrastructure is crucial to this mission, and thus we are really happy to partner with Pinknode and offer our users the possibility to use private and reliable gRPC endpoints in their Squids.”

Eric Poh, co-founder of Pinknode added: “The overlap between the information analytics revolution and blockchain is growing exponentially, and as a project which occupies this niche, Subsquid is poised to become a trailblazer in decentralised database management. Being a fellow infrastructure provider with strong synergies, we believe concur with their assertion that, ‘a dApp is only as good as its data.’”

Pinknode is slated to become available to Subsquid users in a forthcoming update to the Aquarium web app. Developers will be kept up-to-date about this release on all official Subsquid social media channels.
