The Subsquid and Talisman teams are proud to officially reveal to their respective communities the successful completion of a series of integrations, marking the start of a partnership that is sure to enhance how users experience and interact with the Dotsama ecosystem. Up to now, Subsquid has been implemented to push data to users of Talisman’s comprehensive accounts view. Already, discussions have begun for further integrations, each intended to make Web3 easier and more accessible for Talisman’s ever-growing user base.
Talisman is a community-led wallet built to streamline the way in which users experience the Dapps and tokens created for the increasingly vast Polkadot and Kusama Paraverse. Talisman’s development team aims to give users real control over their crypto assets, enabling them to leverage the most innovative solutions in Web3 with ease. This pursuit, of course, involves a great deal of technical complexity on the backend. Subsquid’s natively multichain data processing solution has made it much more convenient for Talisman’s developers.
Subsquid is the only on-chain API framework and SDK that provides full support for external API calls, a feature that has empowered Talisman to radically reduce the number of requests necessary to show data to users. By enabling the augmentation of chain data with external metadata, such as asset and network names, symbols, and logos, Subsquid has made it possible for Talisman’s data engineers to combine everything into a single endpoint.
Also worth noting is that Talisman’s Squid API has been configured to refresh metadata on a regular basis and check if there have been any changes to this information. In this way, the Squid serves as a kind of ‘web cache for Web3.’
